MOVEMENT 2010: May 29-31 At Hart Plaza, Detroit
Rhythmism.com & Paxahau Event Productions want to give a lucky winner a pair of general admission passes for all three days of the Movement Electronic Music Festival Powered by Ford Fiesta. The festival takes place over Memorial Day Weekend from May 29-31, 2010 at Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit.
Detroit has long been hailed as the city that gave birth to the music we call techno. Ever since 2000, techno and dance music lovers from across the globe have made an annual pilgrimage to the city that started it all in celebration of the music and to experience first class sets from the world's top DJ's. Now in 2010, we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the music festival in Detroit. With last year's attendance at over 80,000 strong, Movement proudly celebrated its most successful event to date over three days of a beautiful Memorial Day Weekend. In 2010 with Detroit legend Carl Craig taking over as creative director, Movement is primed to build on its legacy and unleash their most complete line yet. Known throughout the dance music community as the world's premier festival for the sounds of underground house and techno, Movement 2010 is simply a not to be missed event. Over the year's the festival and its promoters, Paxahau, have been recognized by some of the world's leading dance music publications as top's in their respective fields and have now partnered with promoters in Torino, Italy to create an European version of the festival.
This year, Paxahau brings world renowned minimal and microhouse DJ/Producer Ricardo Villalobos back to Detroit for the first time since 2002! "Ricardo is looking forward to coming back to Detroit again after all these years," said his Agent Goetz Guse of Cocoon Agency out of Frankfurt, Germany. “His return to the United States and Detroit for the Movement Electronic Music Festival is exclusive to Paxahau. He isn’t booked to perform at any other venue in the States, and we don’t anticipate he will be this year."
