By - Friday, Jan 20th 2006, 10:33 AM

What a great night! Awesome party, Miss Bluesky! You're such a fabulous hostess! All of you guys and ladies who got dressed up looked so great, and the masks were very fun, as always! The music was excellent - I had a great time dancing around and chatting with people.

Listen or Dance?

By - Saturday, Dec 3rd 2005, 12:15 PM

Its cold in Zurich tonight and I am eating alone on the Niederdorfstrasse in an italian restaurant. The day was bright and lonely and I wandered around the old cobbled streets marveling at the alien language and disorienting effects of jetlag. I finish my pizza and pay the bill, continue walking-its 10pm the club doesnt open until 11.

Pier Bucci/Lazarus/Robots review...

By - Wednesday, Nov 30th 2005, 01:37 AM

So it's pouring - it's getting really shitty out, it's 11 and I'm thinking of bailing out and not going to Cielo - luckily my friend Scarlett yelled at me and told me that when she saw them in San Fran this past weekend it was musically inspiring - something I needed to experience as well, so I must, must go..

By - Saturday, Nov 5th 2005, 01:11 AM

Ok, so to start off - to some of you who read this whom I did see tonight, yes, I did make my way to Movida for a few minutes after Sol - curiosity def peaked as I paid my $7 cab fare from Sol to home (home being 1.5 blocks away from Movida).

Carl Cox & Victor Calderone

By - Sunday, Oct 16th 2005, 07:30 AM

showed up late to crobar at about 1230, we proceed to see the longest line ever all the way down the block!!! plus, the line was not moving and it was only 1230!! after a little door trickery we were able to get in in about 25 min. upon arrival to a rammed club loco dice was warming the night up. to me it sounded very zenit/marco carola soft pad kind of tech house. cox came on at 1 o clock to his setup (w/ efx and sampling) up on the stage. he started out with harder electro tracks but this is probably because cox started a parent label of intec called intec rocks whic IS hard electro, makes sense. to my dismay he was using strictly cds but whatever his mixing was totally on and the vibe was really thick. but, he kept doing the bang it out for 3 records then go over here thang and it would a bit more progressive techno and tribal-y, to me. he also played a remix of metallica one(?) which sounded awful and should be immediatly burnt. once he picked it up especially in the last hour (HOLY SHIT) he completely tore it up with super thick funky basslines and 25th century beats, he actually played a little bit of everything. i give the night an 8 out of 10 overall, 7.5 out of 10 for the vibe, as or the cox set 7 out of 10, if he banged it the whole time it would have been ill but, THE LAST HOUR WAS INSANE!!!! Oh and he also spun for 5 hours, AND WHAT!!?
