I wasn't there. I was happily gardening. I even stayed outside in the rain as homage to those of you on the boat who *might* have gotten wet. So WTF? How was is kiddies? Stories stories, come on tell...Did Karen lose her underwear again? Spit it.

I have a text from Lust E around 8pm that just said "insane"... So i assumer everyone had a blast.
It's that moment of rhythm-induced rapture that we've all experienced..when the party, the people, the music and the DJ all come together to create that perfect flash in time....when a week of drudgery, work and real life will all be washed away in a blur of abandon..and Saturday night is indeed the night a DJ saves your life.

"In my opinion, this sums up the definition of the global underground electronic scene ... it's a sort of machoism, but also a primitive human instinct, just as cultures of homosapiens have danced around a fire for thousands of years. Well now it has resurfaced in modern society. House music."

That was one hot party. Practically everyone dressed up somehow and the energy was really high. One thing I love about boat parties is the enforced limits on capacity, which means it never gets overcrowded like some clubs can. The music was really great. Dill was great in the basement early on and the remix of Thriller made my night ... not to mention House of Pain's "Jump Around"! Definitely channeled my high school days. The bathroom lines were never as atrocious as I thought they would be. The biggest lowlight was the wait in line (we didn't board until around 4, not 3), but then again, we were the tards that showed up super early. Also, I think I either broke or sprained my toe.

Otherwise, it was an amazing party with a really fun group of people. I relaly like the set up on the Queen of Hearts. The open-yet-covered main dancefloor was great and felt more like a club on the seas than just a boat where music is being played.

So happy I went.

Now where are the pictures?!?!

I've got nothing to do today but smile.

boat parties rule. a free boat party with a huge international dj rules even more. and free finger-lickin chicken and ribs is a nice added bonus. great sexy smiling pirate crowd. solid music all around. the top floor dance floor really is the place to be. there was much disorganization getting on board but they eventually let everybody on.

thank you swamy. congrats again on 5 years running the best sunday party in nyc.

if you came to the party with the mindset that you were probably going to be waiting in line for a while and there would be some hassle at the entry gate, then it really becomes a little more bearable. aside from the entry gate, the party was ridiculously awesome. you really can't complain too much considering admission was free, there was a full spread of good, free food and the DJ caliber was top notch. respek, respek.

the music was on point and the sound system was very nice. fortunately the weather held up and it only sprinkled for a few minutes here and there. the clouds made for a very pretty sunset. and all the ladies on the boat were looking retardedly hot (my gf included)

The guy in the parrot suit was beyond awesome. Best moment of the party was catching him get searched by security. Totally hilarious and surreal.
