-really quick...
Thanks to everyone for a hugely successful "Series Premier" this past Feb 18th. Eamon Harkin & Justin Carter graced us with the exceptional sound that's made Mister Saturday Night so popular. They gave us a taste of a bit of everything, blending vinyl effortlessly in the process. Neil Aline set the room up as only an expert could. Although we closed up shop a bit earlier then expected, keep a look-out for the return of Jeff Scott in the near future!

The Dog & Pony Show 002: "Shenanigans"

starring:

-M A N I K [ovum recordings | four: twenty | mood music]
We're proud to follow up with a very exciting guest in that of Ovum's own - M A N I K. The Hungarian-born Chris Manik aka Chatterbox style is a unique blend of cutting edge house, futuristic techno and deep old school grooves. His infectious productions are due to be released on labels including Josh Wink's Ovum, highly reveared U.K. imprint Four: Twenty, Chicago's Fresh Meat (run by legendary Audio Soul Project), as well as Berlin's Mood Music (which also features Catz N' Dogz, Dirt Crew, Ben Klock, Benn Watt, Henrik Schwarz, Quarion and many more). With production guns blazing, M A N I K has seen support from the likes of Steve Bug, Jimpster, Gregor Tresher, Laurent Garnier, Joris Voorn, Milton Jackson, Deetron, Tiefschwarz, Tedd Patterson, Davide Squillace, Luca Bacchetti, Burnski, Till Von Sein, Martin Landsky and many more. We think we won't be able to afford him in a few months when people get word of him, so we're pretty glad he agreed to play with us now. http://myspace.com/christophermanik

-LAUREN LANE [dance.here.now. | nyc]
Keeping with the Philadelphia theme this month, we're also celebrating the birthday of the Philly-born Lauren Lane. Although uber-stunning, Lauren's looks are only precedded by her talent behind the decks. You'd never know it because she's been living in New York for her entire career, but Lauren's early dance music experiences stem from Josh Wink's raves during the early 1990s. With recent gigs along-side Nick Curly, Davide Squillace, Lee Burridge, Danny Howells and lots of others - Lauren's diverse style ranges all over the house spectrum. We expect her usual jaw-dropping goodness! http://myspace.com/laurenlanenyc

-PAULY RAFFAELE [the dog & pony show | paulyraffaele.com]
Pauly isn't from Philly but he's been there once or twice. Setting our Dog & Pony standard, you can be confident you'll hear nothing but the best in top-tier house, disco and techno. Technically - Pauly will serve near-flawless mixing and steady programming topped with a little french-inspired flavor due to his recent return from 'The Itsy Bitsy, Teenie Weenie French tour'. His resumé (pardon our French), is pretty ridiculous (and we don't want to sit here all night) -but he's played with the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Steve Lawler, Josh Wink, Danny Krivit, Dimitri From Paris, Sandy Rivera, Tedd Patterson, Sander K and a shit load of others. Welcome back Pauly, you were missed. http://paulyraffaele.com

-We'll also be hosting a very special birthday celebration for great friend, Dog & Pony supporter, and all around good guy FRANK NOSTRO. We hope he will make it home in one piece!

-ABOUT THE PARTY:
Dog and Pony are the mischievous main characters at our festive monthly music function. Other regular characters include nerds, pranksters, rock stars, porn stars, hipsters, and party animals in their natural habitat. Episodes will cover important themes such as Techno, House, Disco, Acid, Electro and beyond. Join the millions who are already religious followers!
