Best sound system in NYC and some of the best DJs. A down to earth but pretty trendy crowd given meat packing location. A good place for house heads to take their non house head friends to help convert them. Warm them up with a few Cielo visits and then take them to Shelter or Love to bring it home.

First class music booking, impeccable sound and pretty crown are good enough to make up for the indifferent bartenders.

what can you say , cielo is the best club / lounge in the area arguably new york. talk about trendy sex in the city meat packing industry area. my god everybody is buetiful all over the streets, having a good time. walking stumbling from there drinks of the night. cielo itself has top notch dj's come in like derrick may has worked his jazz there pure magic with his techno bump a thump. i have seen danny tenaglia partying there with francois k.. just an amazing vibe buetiful people with amazing lighting and padding decore to keep the sound in .but done in such a way were its fashioned with a modern decore. what you would expect of such a glorious trendy area. --- and im a dirty RAVER!

When reviewers liken the dance floor to a sunken living room the similarities don't end at the elevation; it's also about the square footage of your average New York living room. However there is plenty of surrounding space that can be used for the grooving. The square footprint, cocentric configuration and minimized obstructions lend the space a unified community ethos. It's smallness and intimacy turn out to be well suited to a party held on an early weekday; when even at peak one has at least a foot of personal space to do the thing. The styling is an ambiguous cross of a lounge and a dance club... with wall lighting that makes you feel like you're inside the reactor core of the Starship Enterprise (the new one).

By far, one of the best places in the city to hear some good sexy house music. Excellent sound and amazing lights. Very consistent on the weekends.
